Description: Restart is a contracted employment programme targeted at the long-term unemployed. It was instigated in response to the global economic slowdown triggered by the Coronavirus pandemic, as a way of supporting the people most in need back into sustained employment.

The recent Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) review commented positively on the work of the Programme and while providing six helpful recommendations noted that the various risks identified during the review were being managed by the Programme.
