| Description: | ECU is a minimised set of the most urgently required cryptographic equipment necessary to ensure that MODs Safety and Security requirements are satisfied and that highly protectively marked information continues to be protected to levels that meet Government policy. The project is an incremental programme to introduce a smaller family of new technology crypto devices to replace those which will be unsupportable over the coming years. Capability gaps to be filled by a mixture of industry specified Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products and MOD developed items for smaller volume requirements. |
