Description: | The aim of the NOMIS Programme is to give prison and probation staff new and improved access to the information they need to manage offenders efficiently and effectively throughout the system - protecting the public and reducing re-offending. [The Programme is now delivered and has been closed]. NOMIS is five IT-enabled business change projects: Probation Case Management System (PCMS) - Replacing a variety of different systems with one centralised system for probation; Offender Assessment System Replacement (OASys-R) - Improved, shared system for offender assessment across both prisons and probation Prison-NOMIS - An improved, centralised prisons case management system now fully rolled out; Data Share System (DSS) - Enabling probation staff to access the core Prison-NOMIS information they need for effective offender management; and Inmate Information System (IIS) update - Improving functionality |
